I know Catholics aren't the only ones who deal with guilt, but we definitely own most of the stock, right?  Why is that?  And why is it that when I'm feeling guilty over something I KNOW I shouldn't be feeling guilty about, I can't shake the guity feeling?  UGH!  Some days, I wake up feeling guilty about being alive.  I mean….I'll be watching a sit-com or even a drama (I love Law & Order) and the main character will do something silly or whatever, and I'll feel guilty about it.  What is that???  I'm even guilty (pun very intended) of feeling guilty for not feeling guilty.  UGH!  Who is with me?  :)

Hello all

I am the mother of a recovering catholic girl.  Having grown up before and after Vactican II, I've seen many changes in the Church.  The one constant, however, is guilt…with a capital G!

This is the first of many posts to come.  Great site!

I love Law and Order SVU. Abuse solved fixed and the criminal sent to jail in an hour. I relive the joy of this magnificent outcome every time I watch. I am no longer guilty. They are.

I love the way you think, Vegetable.  Since I'm a self-professed Law & Order (original and SVU) junkie, I should rarely feel guilty, right?  Hmmmmm, I like this.  Transfer my guilt to the perps on LO.  This could work.  Thanks for the tip.
